Step 2: Purchasing MahaDAO
• You can purchase MahaDAO on centralized exchanges such as KuCoin or Gate.io. However, for the purpose of this guide, we are going to utilize a decentralized exchange called Uniswap.
• Go to Uniswap Interface.
• In the upper right hand corner click “Connect to a wallet”.
• A list of different wallets will appear. Please click “MetaMask”.
• A pop up window will appear asking you to “Connect With MetaMask” click “Next”.
• This same pop window will transition and then ask you to “Connect to Account 1”. Click “Connect”.
• In order to purchase MahaDAO (MAHA) you need have Ethereum. You can get Ethereum in your wallet by sending it from a centralized exchange or by purchasing it directly in the MetaMask wallet using a credit card or debit card. However, this option may not be available depending on where you live.
• To purchase Ethereum (ETH) from your MetaMask you need to open your MetaMask Wallet.
• You can locate your MetaMask wallet by clicking the puzzle icon located to the right of the web address bar in Google Chrome.
• A box will appear that displays all of the extensions that you have in your Google Chrome browser. Please click “MetaMask”.
• Your MetaMask Wallet will appear. Click, “Buy”.
• Please utilize whichever method you would like to purchase Ethereum and follow the steps in that process.
• Once you have Ethereum in you MetaMask Wallet, you are ready to switch Ethereum to MahaDAO.
• Click the option that states, “Select a token”.
• A pop up window will appear that displays various cryptocurrencies. Copy and paste 0xb4d930279552397bba2ee473229f89ec245bc365 into the space that states, “Search name or paste address” and press enter.
• The bolded series of letters and numbers above is the smart contract address to MahaDAO. This address can be found on coinmarketcap or on MahaDAO’s website. Getting the smart contract address from one of these locations ensures that you have the proper contract address.
• Now, input the amount of Ethereum (ETH) that you would like to swap to MahaDAO (MAHA). You will be able see approximately how much MAHA you will be receiving.
• Click “Swap”. An additional pop up window will appear informing you about the transaction details. Now click “Confirm”.
• You will once again receive another pop up window. This window is your MetaMask Wallet asking you to confirm the transaction. If you have enough Ethereum (ETH) to complete the transaction, you will be able to click “Confirm”. After a short wait, you should receive a notification from MetaMask that your transaction is confirmed.
• However, if you do not have enough Ethereum to complete the transaction, you will get a red box on the transaction screen that states, “Insufficient Funds”. To resolve this issue you can either reduce the total amount of Ethereum that you would like to swap into Maha or you add more Ethereum (ETH) to your MetaMask.
• If you go into your MetaMask Wallet after you have successfully purchased MahaDAO and do not see it under assets. Please follow the next step.
• In your MetaMask Wallet scroll to the bottom and click “Import Token”. Now copy and paste 0xb4d930279552397bba2ee473229f89ec245bc365 into the area. Then click “Next”.
• Congratulations! You have successfully purchased MahaDAO!
• Even though you have successfully purchased MahaDAO, to successfully lock it on the Polygon Network you will also need to have Matic. You also need to have the Matic token because you will be required to pay network fees on Polygon using this token.
• Please complete the following steps above again, but instead of swapping for MAHA you will swap for MATIC. The address for MATIC is as follows: 0x7D1AfA7B718fb893dB30A3aBc0Cfc608AaCfeBB0
• Finally, ensure that you purchase enough Matic to conduct all transactions on that network. Due to Polygon having substantially cheaper transaction fees then Ethereum, you should not need to purchase a lot.
